There is a saying in Urdu - "Umeed pe dunya kayam hai" - which translates to the world runs on hope.
So if the whole world can run on hope, then why can't we?

I've been struggling to write. I still have the strongest passion to write, but I have been struggling to find the words or a topic to write. I think I took my writing to a dark place and I just don't know how to lighten it up.
Do I just shrug it off and pretend I'm a-okay? Do I keep writing about deep dark stuff? Do I talk about TV shows? Do I talk about feelings? Do I talk about the time I got stitches all over my face?
Technically, it's my blog, so I should write about whatever I feel like writing about. But also, I hate it when there are no transitions with things. Kinda like Game of Thrones, where transitions are just lack of light?
So this chapter called Hope is my buffer between the dark and the light. Between the depression and the happiness. It's the word that brings in positivity and optimism. The word that is based on having an expectation of something good.
And you know what? I like that. I like the feeling of expecting something good to happen.
About fucking time right?

I won't talk about what I hope for. Because it's in my heart and it's probably safer there than out in the world.
But I'll talk about what hope feels like everyday for the past couple of weeks.
Hope is finding it in you to write another chapter and not comparing it to anything you've written before.
Hope is waking up in the morning and wanting to get out of bed to start your day.
Hope is getting a message off of a friend, knowing they're thinking of you.
Hope is making meals for the family, realizing that you are a responsible adult when you want to be.
Hope is smiling at strangers, knowing that you will get a smile back.
Hope is making new friends and knowing it in your heart that this will be a beautiful friendship.
Hope is driving around, not being lost in your thoughts but jamming to some music with a smile on.
Hope is finding nothing to talk about, but still talking about it because it makes you happy.
Hope is laughing at the most ridiculous stuff because you can.
Hope is looking forward to meeting people and getting to know them, instead of sulking alone.
Hope is walking with your head held high and not hiding in your blanket of anxiety.
Hope is thinking about the dark times, knowing that you will be perfectly okay.
Hope is not giving up.
Hope is not breaking down.
Hope is moving on.
Hope is being positive.
Hope is being happy.
Hope is smiling.
Hope is laughing.
Hope is needed.
Hope is peaceful.
Hope is everything.

Hope is what the world runs on, so why shouldn't we?
